Welcome to Danza Academy! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services, website, and participation in dance classes at our Philadelphia and Exton studios. By registering for classes, you agree to these terms.

1. Services & Registration

Danza Academy provides dance instruction for various ages and skill levels at our two Pennsylvania locations. All students (or parents/guardians for students under 18) must complete a registration form and agree to these terms before participating in any class, workshop, or event.

2. Payment Terms

  • Free Trial Lesson: No payment required for initial trial classes

  • Tuition Packages: Must be paid in full before class start date or according to your payment plan

  • Payment Methods: We accept credit/debit cards and ACH transfers

  • Late Payments: A $15 late fee applies after 5 days; accounts 15 days past due may result in class suspension

  • Auto-Renewal: Monthly memberships auto-renew unless canceled with 14-day written notice

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

By Student:

  • Class cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance to be eligible for a makeup class

  • No refunds for missed classes; makeups expire 30 days after the missed class

  • Refunds for prepaid packages available within 7 days of purchase (minus a $25 processing fee)

  • After 7 days, refunds are only issued for medical reasons with a doctor's note

By DanzaAcademy:

  • We reserve the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment, instructor illness, or emergencies

  • Canceled classes will be rescheduled or credited to your account

4. Class Policies

  • Arrival: Arrive 10 minutes early. Late arrivals may not be admitted after 15 minutes

  • Attire: Proper dance attire and footwear required (specifics provided upon registration)

  • Behavior: Respectful behavior toward instructors and students is mandatory; disruptive behavior may result in removal without refund

  • Parent Observation: Parents may watch during designated viewing weeks only (safety and focus reasons)

5. Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that:

  • Dance activities involve inherent risks of physical injury

  • You are in proper physical condition to participate and have no medical conditions that would prevent safe participation

  • You will follow all instructor directions and safety guidelines

  • DanzaAcademy, its owners, instructors, and staff are not liable for injuries sustained during normal participation

For minors: Parents/guardians assume all risks on behalf of their child and agree to hold DanzaAcademy harmless from any claims.

6. Photography & Video Release

We may take photos/videos for promotional purposes. You grant DanzaAcademy perpetual rights to use these for marketing unless you opt-out in writing. For minors, separate parental consent is required.

7. Code of Conduct

Appropriate, respectful behavior is required in our studios and online platforms. We prohibit:

  • Harassment or discrimination of any kind

  • Unauthorized recording of classes

  • Sharing login credentials for virtual classes

  • Soliciting other students for external businesses

Violations may result in immediate dismissal without refund.

8. Communication

By providing your contact information, you consent to receive:

  • Class confirmations and schedule updates via email/SMS

  • Studio announcements and emergency closures

  • Marketing communications (if you opt-in)

Opt-out available at any time: Reply STOP to SMS or unsubscribe from emails.

9. Studio Property

Students are responsible for personal belongings. DanzaAcademy is not liable for lost or stolen items. Damage to studio property will result in repair/replacement charges.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms, class schedules, instructors, or pricing with reasonable notice. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of changes.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Pennsylvania law. Any disputes will be resolved through binding mediation in Philadelphia County, PA before pursuing litigation.
